Donate Monthly, Save Lives
The Here Today Club funds the care of cats who may need a bit of extra time or care before finding a forever home.
Many of these cats have chronic health issues or behavioral challenges. While waiting patiently for their purrfect match, these cats live in comfort, with lots of love, in our cageless Cattery and foster homes.
As a Club member, your monthly donation in the amount of you choosing will support these cats' journeys to their forever homes. In return, you'll receive photos and updates from the cats themselves.
When you become a member of the Here Today Club, you become an active partner in the lifesaving work we do.
Which cats are sponsored by the Here Today Club?
They are the cats that are Here Today until the Tomorrow comes when they can be Adopted.
Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system and can shorten their lifespan. However, FeLV+ cats usually remain healthy right up until the end of their lives. Due to the virus' highly contagious nature, FeLV+ cats cannot mix with cats not carrying the virus, but can safely interact with other pets. We are one of the very few shelters that welcome FeLV+ cats. Because we believe that they too deserve only the best, we built an entire room just for these special cats to safely mingle and interact with other FeLV+ felines.
We are one of a mere handful of groups who specialize in shy and fearful cats. In traditional shelters, these often misunderstood cats can shut down or lash out, causing them to fall through the cracks and never get the loving care they need. Our cage-free setting allows these cats to let down their guard and show us who they really are. Some blossom into family pets and others remain spirit cats, who may not seek out human company but can be great pals for other felines. We love and accept these cats for who they are, and we place them with families who will love them too.
Many cats come to Here Today Adopted Tomorrow with chronic health issues, such as diabetes, kidney failure, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Because of their medical needs, these cats can spend months or even years in traditional shelters, as few adopters are willing or able to take on the extra expense. Your monthly donation supports our Care for Life program, which removes this financial barrier for adopters by covering medical expenses relating to any of these chronic health issues, for the rest of the cat's life. And yes, this includes FeLV+ cats!
Medically Needy Cats
Cats often come to Here Today Adopted Tomorrow with their own kitty behavior issues, like aggression or eliminating outside of the litter box. But these behaviors are almost always a sign of an underlying issue that can be easily addressed. With the help of Dr. Rachel Geller, our cat behavior counselor, we listen to the cat's needs and get to the root of their unique behavior. We assist adopters in behavior management to ensure these cats are successful in their new homes. Since partnering with Dr. Geller, we've dramatically decreased our rate of return for all cats to only 2.5%.
